The Agents for Citizen-driven Transformation (ACT) Programme developed this toolkit to strengthen the capacity of CSOs to recognise, avoid, mitigate, and manage conflicts of interest (COI). It provides examples of COI Policy and Declaration Forms that can be modified by CSOs, as required.
CSOs are considered as important contributors to governance and accountability in development in Nigeria. In order to have the legitimacy and support needed to be effective, it is necessary that a CSO’s policies are in place that ensure their value as accountable representatives of Nigerian citizens.
