As the security situation continues to improve in Borno state and other parts of North East Nigeria, there is increased attention towards the reintegration of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to communities. Considering the loss of assets, land and capital caused by the insurgency, means of livelihood for returnees is a major source of concern to all stakeholders.
This policy brief provides an assessment of livelihood opportunities and security implications for returnee communities. The study was carried by the Centre for Community Development and Research Network with support from MCN.
