YouthRise Nigeria is a CSO that focuses on promoting access to quality healthcare, harm reduction and social justice for young people that are vulnerable to or affected by drug use and gender-based violence in Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The Agents for Citizen-driven Transformation (ACT) programme has supported YouthRise with training, coaching, mentoring, and peer learning. Over a period of three years, YouthRise improved its capacity to plan, lobby, advocate, and intervene in communities. The CSO enhanced its gender and social inclusion practices and increased its knowledge and skills in communication and media engagement.

YouthRise also improved its resource mobilisation drive and secured a grant from ACT. The grant was a game changer and enabled YouthRise to implement a project to tackle drug abuse and GBV issues in four area councils.

The case study describes how YouthRise Nigeria became a change agent by launching a digital solution to combat drug misuse and gender-based violence. This case study is valuable for CSOs, advocates against drug use and GBV, development partners, and other stakeholders working to address societal issues.
